Here are some of the skills I feel I am most proficient in given my experiences!

Communication

I quickly learned in life that communication is possibly the top tier on the pyramid of life. It is vital to almost every sector of life. While

Growth

Adaptability

Adaptability is key to surviving and thriving in life. Things do not always go to plan and you have to be flexible to succeed. During my time studying at Utrecht University in the Netherlands, I had to adapt to a different style of life, school and culture. I had planned ahead, but I was met with unexpected challenges, such as, a medical emergency where I had to navigate a foreign healthcare system where many healthcare workers did not speak English. It might have been difficult at first, but I had to have resiliency and push through. In the end, I conquered my challenges and was able to grow from them.

Fists in Solidarity

Leadership

One of the most important aspects of being a good leader is being able to delegate tasks or express boundaries and ideas in a kind manner. Leaders also must be able to listen to their team while establishing a level of respect. During my time teaching at the University of Florida's English Language Institute, I had to learn to set a balance between leader and friend. Given many of my students were older than me, sometimes I was not taken seriously with my instructions. I had to be firm, but kind in establishing rules and addressing any issues.

QUOTES THAT INSPIRE ME:

but what we DO."

                                                  ~Rosa Parks

"It is important to make a dream of life, and of a dream reality.
